Erin Burneson
Erin began working with Bhayli in October of 2022 as an American India Foundation Banyan Impact Fellow. As the oldest daughter of a former garbageman, lifelong innovator, and up-cycler she felt like she was returning to her roots. She jumped into early stages of the project by identifying the potential and limitations of using waste as an artistic medium. She had a vision early on to use plastic bottles for "cane" weaving and cold beverage cans to create embossed tiles. She taught our creative partners who learned quickly and valued the clarity and compassion with which she taught. Post fellowship, Erin returned to the U.S. to start her own creative consulting company, Studio Rachanā. She comes alongside individuals, communities, and businesses to catalyze creativity for social impact in order to collaboratively solve complex environmental and humanitarian problems. In December of 2023 she returned to Jaipur as Bhayli’s Director to continue what she started.
